Tonight we went and picked up Nanna Perry from the airport - hoorah! She decided that she wanted to see me again (and really, who wouldn't!) and help out while Daddy is traveling the world (well, Perth and Jakarta). It is really very kind of her.
Today we went down to David Lloyd, and Mummy went for a swim and then to the Aquanatal class, her first class since I was born. I just watched, although to be fair, it was so warm in the pool area it made me very sleepy and I slept through most of the class. A lovely midwife came and watched me and some of the other babies. I didn't cause her too much trouble though, but I sure was ready for my feed once the class was over (and I let Mummy know it too!). We left in a hurry so we could have a long relaxing feed at home.
I must now be on my best behaviour, as Nanna is going to help out on the night feeds. Best not wake up too often!

Sunshine
Oh, what a lovely spring day it was today! Because it was such a nice day, Mummy took me for a walk to their friends house a couple of miles away, Brian and Alison. I was on my best behaviour, and got a nice cuddle from Alison.
Mummy is now hoping I am this good for her tonight. Let's see hey!
Mummy and Daddy got me up an hour early today ... now that we are on daylight savings time. I am sure we will adjust quick enough. Although because I had such a grumpy day yesterday, it meant Mummy and Daddy didn't get much sleep either! Daddy gave up last night, and he took me downstairs and we slept the last couple of hours down there. This is how Mummy found us in the morning ...

Daddy went off to the airport today. He is on his way to Perth for 5 days, and then Jakarta for another 5 days. He was very excited, because he is getting to fly business class for the first time! He said I must behave for Mummy. Lucky for Mummy though, Nanna Perry has decided to come over again and help her out. I don't know what all the fuss is, I am not that much hard work surely??? Mummy has told Daddy that he will be on nappy duty for the whole of Easter!
Yesterday was a long day for all concerned. I just had tummy pains that would not go away ... even after my 7 day poop (technically only 5 days this time) that I saved up for Mummy this time. Must spread the love around! I wasn't happy if I was put down, so I always wanted to be cuddled by Mummy or Daddy.
Daddy gave Mummy the afternoon off, and she went for her first swim in 6 weeks and proper spa in goodness knows how long (Daddy wouldn't let her spa for more than 4 minutes while she was pregnant)! She said it was lovely being back in the water, although mumbled something about not feeling too fit and forgetting to do tumble turns. She was happy though when her bathers still fitted! Daddy told Mummy that if I was like this during the week, then he was glad he went to work!
At about 8pm Daddy decided to take me for a walk ... 45 minutes later I finally shut my eyes, but when we got home I just wanted to be held again.

Baby Sensory
Today was my first day at the Baby Sensory class. This is where we do music, massage and signing. The taster session we went to I slept through, but today I decided to play up a bit! Lots of crying (but resulted in cuddles from Mummy) and restlessness, although some of it was good.
I really liked it when we did tummy time. Mum put me on the really fluffy rug and on a silky cloth. It felt nice! Laura the teacher was very impressed with how strong my neck is when I lifted it up off the ground. I also liked the song where Mum jiggled me about on her knee!
Looking forward to it again next week!

Growing, growing
Yesterday the health visitor did a surprise visit. Mummy wasn't too pleased with the timing ... I was crying a little bit while lying in my basket, and Mummy was getting a cup of tea so she could relax while feeding me. I decided I would cry throughout the visit, although eventually Mummy put me on her boob, and that did the trick!
The good news was that I have put on another 4.5 oz in the last week - yipee! That puts me back at birth weight, which Mummy and Daddy are both very happy about! The only thing though is that I am very hungry these days, and Mummy is struggling to keep up - we are almost permanently attached these days!
The health visitor and the midwives have all said I am a delicate little lady! Too right!!

The 7 Day Poop
Mummy and Daddy have been having a great time recently ... laughing and joking all the time. I was starting to feel a little left out and was thinking that I would play a little joke myself! There isn't much I can control as a little baby .... other than Mum & Dads every waking moment. Therefore I thought it would be a great joke to hold in my poop a while .... hehe, let them wait in suspense! As it approach day 7 Mum & Dad were getting quite worried over who would be the unlucky one ... Daddy was hoping it would be Mummy!
Due to the fact that I love Daddy the most, I decided that I would play my joke on him. I waited for a special quite moment when mum was fast asleep and then STRUCK. Given some of the words that came out of Dads mouth (not to be repeated here) and the fact that he kept saying 'Oh My God', I think he was quite impressed and realised that the joke was on him!!!
hehe need to have a think about my next joke!

Happy Mothers Day
Today is the UK Mother's Day! Hoorah for Mum!
Because I can't walk yet, and have no money of my own, I asked Dad to go out shopping and buy something nice for Mum! He didn't disappoint! He came back with 2 nice tops and a good trashy magazine for Mum to read. That should come in handy for passing time as she gives me a feed!
Later in the day we went into town for a bit of a walk. Dad wanted to look at exercise bikes, but didn't have much luck as none of the stores in Warrington stocked them. So instead of looking at bikes, Mum and Dad went to Borders for a coffee and muffin. While they were there they met a couple from one of their antenatal classes ... and their little baby ... although, compared to me, he didn't look so little anymore! Man I have some growing and filling out to do!
I am trying to be a bit better for Mum and Dad. Last night they went around to Ellie and Paul's for Indian, and I tried to be on my best behaviour. I think Mum was pleased - I didn't cry at all during dinner, and I only woke at at 9:30pm looking for my next feed. Finally Mum is learning that if she keeps me topped up, I won't cry and fret so much! It was a bit of a late night, so this morning I was lucky, and I got to have a cuddle with both Mum and Dad in their bed. We all got a bit of a lie-in!

Bye Bye
Today was a sad day, because Grandpa and Nanna Perry are heading back to Melbourne.
They came over to the house early, and Nanna gave me her final bath (for a while only anyway). I think she likes bathtime! Mum was trying to get some tips from her ...

Grandpa finished off a few things in the garden - a new rhubarb plant went in and a flower which Mum can't spell (the special one that you get for Mother's Day). The lawns are in tip top condition and look like a bowling green! And all the edges have been straightened, and Grandpa even finished off the brick border ... that Mum started 18 months ago! Hoorah! Hopefully Mum and Dad can keep it in some sort of order, otherwise they'll just have to get Grandpa over again to touch it all up.
It was a beautiful day, and so we all decided to go to Walton Hall. Mum tried taking Nanna there on her last visit, but the rain was so heavy that they couldn't get out of the car. This time however, no such problems, but the coffee shop was shut! So instead we did a short walk around the grounds, Mum showed her "Englishness" and walked around in a short sleeve top. It wasn't really that warm - well, not to Grandpa and Nanna anyway. Lunch ended up at the local pub, and we all sat outside to enjoy the sun.
Finally we had to go home, and let Grandpa and Nanna drive down to Heathrow for tomorrow's flight. We will all miss them (and their help)!

Weight gain
Yippee, I am now tipping the scales in the right direction!
Today we went to see the health visitor, Mum wanted to check that I was starting to gain some weight. Well, this week I've put on 4 oz, which makes me 6lb 9oz ... still another 4 oz to go until I am back at my birth weight, but I am heading in the right direction now. I think it is all going to my legs, cos Mum says I am growing out the length of my pants! Mum is pleased, because I know that she has felt that I have been permanently stuck to her chest over the past few days!

Meeting Grandparents Perry
Grandpa and Nanna Perry arrived in Warrington tonight. They were so excited to meet me ... cuddles were in order (as soon as I finished feeding) straight away. They almost forgot the birthday dinner Mum had made for Nanna's birthday! (Happy Birthday Nanna!)
After dinner it was time for more cuddles, and then there were LOADS of presents! Woo hoo! I was very spoilt and very lucky from all the generous family and friends in Australia.
They are now here for the next 2.5 weeks - I am sure there will be lots more cuddles and special moments!
