Well, today is our last day here, and Mummy and I have been getting ready to get back on the plane. Last night we had our final dinner with Nanna and Grandpa Perry, Auntie Catherine, and Grandma and Grandpa Mahar. I tried to give lots of smiles and good cuddles out!
Today once Mummy was all packed, we headed over to see Grandma. Nanna followed us a little later on, and then finally all the workers arrived (Grandpa Mahar and Perry, and Auntie Catherine). A few more cuddles with everyone and then Mummy and I piled into a couple of cars and headed out to the airport.
We checked in nice and early - I think Mummy was hoping for an upgrade, but it didn't happen. The main thing though was that I got a bassinet to sleep in. We had a final coffee at the airport (none for me though), and then it was time to head off!
What a lovely holiday, and so nice to meet everyone!

Rest day!
Today Mummy and I had a much needed rest day! We stayed at home with Grandma Mahar, and I got lots of playing in! Grandma used the time to maximise her cuddles with me. Great Grandma Mahar and Auntie Marilyn also popped in for a visit. I tried my best to be charming and cute!
I also had a lot of time playing on the floor. I am getting pretty good at twisting myself inside out and every other direction! Playing with my feet is one of my favourite activities at the moment ...

PS. Mummy did manage to get a run in today, so now feels it was worthwhile carting her runners from the UK to Melbourne. Rumour has it that the run wasn't very fast, and that her legs were feeling a little sore in the afternoon!

Pancake Palour
Yum, yum, yum!
Today we all went out for lunch at the Pancake Palour; Nanna and Grandpa Perry, Auntie Mel and Lachlan, Grandma Mahar, Mummy and I. What a decadent start to the week! Grandpa took the day off which was great. There was lots of chit chat, but for the most part Lachlan and I just slept! What good babies we were! Mummy's eyes were just as big as her stomach, as she ate her way through a savoury pancake AND a dessert pancake. She is thinking that some exercise may be in order tomorrow ... maybe she might make use of her runners she carted over from the UK! (but lets not get ahead of ourselves!)
It has been a busy few days really, catching up with lots and lots of different people. Uncle Andrew (the one from Mummy's side, not Daddy's side of the family) flew down from Sydney on Saturday, and I got to meet him too. He was a bit tired on Saturday night, but we are still undecided as to whether it was because of the very early flight he took, or the nips of Scotch Grandpa was giving him on Saturday afternoon! Mummy reackons she rolled away from the family dinner on Saturday night with lots of (more) yummy food filling her belly!
Yesterday we saw Nanna and Grandpa Perry again, and we got a shot of the proud grandparents! Weren't they lucky to have both grandkids visiting!
My cold is getting on the mend now, and to Mummy's delight I've been sleeping through the night again for the past couple of nights. I've even given her a little lie-in, not waking her until 7:30am today!

Visitors from Sydney
Today Auntie Mel and cousin Lachlan arrived from Sydney - more people to meet! Mummy picked them up from the airport while I stayed behind and played with Nanna. I tried to charm Auntie Mel with my winning smile (I think I managed it), but with cousin Lachlan I had to stamp my authority early on and stole a toy off him. I don't think Mummy was impressed! We did have quite a nice time playing together though!

My First Cold
Yesterday was such an exciting day. After my morning nap Mummy, Nanna Perry and I went over to Grandma Mahar's house, where we met up with Auntie Serena and cousin Patrick. It was great - I got to spend lots of time with Patrick, and we had both the grannies coo-ing at us. Auntie Serena and Mummy used this opportunity to go out for lunch together - lucky them, such a rare treat!
In the evening Mummy and I went to visit Adam (Daddy's counsin) and Ann-Marie. They cooked a yummy dinner for Mummy, and they did lots of catching up. I was a little naughty, because I didn't want to go to bed - I wanted to hear all the tales! Eventually Mummy got me to sleep!
All the activity can wear a little girl out, and during the night, my already snuffly nose got snufflier! Poor Mummy, I had her in and out of bed many more times than she would care to remember, and I don't think she got much sleep. Thankfully Nanna got up to feed me in the morning again, and Mummy got to have a bit of a lie in. I also had a snuggle with Grandpa too. Aren't the Grandparents great! In the morning we went off to the doctors, who pronounced me with the sniffles! Unfortunately for Mummy, I will just have to see it through, but she is looking after me superbly, so hopefully I will be on the mend in no time!

Swimming with Nanna
This morning we popped over to Doncaster Shoppingtown ... Mummy says it has GROWN lots since she was last there. Lots of new shops to explore ... but don't worry Daddy, Mummy was very restrained and didn't buy anything (this time) ...
The real treat though was this afternoon, when Mummy and Nanna took me to Aquarena for a swim! Mummy bumped into someone she used to work with a long time ago, luckily the name came to her just in time ...
I really enjoyed the swim, it was fun playing with Nanna and Mummy!

Surprise!

Today Mummy and I arrived in Melbourne! What a big surprise it was for everyone! Let's start at the beginning ...
On Saturday my visa arrived, which now meant I could come and go from the UK and be let in again. So, as Mummy and Daddy had planned, Mummy and I were going to make a surprise trip back to Melbourne. It would work out well, because Daddy was going to be away again for 8 days for work, and Mummy wouldn't have to be home alone.
So after searching for the best deal on Saturday, on Sunday Mummy booked our tickets to Australia and was then frantically getting everything organised for our trip to leave on Tuesday night! That included shopping for some presents, getting Autie Serena and Auntie Catherine in on the surprise and co-ordinating things from the Melbourne end and sorting out bits and pieces at home as well! Mummy didn't sleep well Sunday night thinking of all the things to be done!
Daddy left work early on Tuesday, spent some time with Mummy and me and then took us out to the airport that night. We were hoping to grab a coffee with Daddy, but unfortunately that terminal didn't have a cafe before security. Mummy and I waved goodbye to Daddy, and that is where she had to cope with me alone! I tried to be very good for her!
We got on the plane, and Mummy was relieved to be sitting next to a couple also with a baby. She was so worried then if I made a bit of noise on the flight. However, I was very good on the takeoff, and then dropped off to sleep and slept the whole way from Manchester to Dubai! We had a short stop over in Dubai, and then it was back on the plane all the way to Melbourne. I slept on and off during the flight, and according to Mummy, slept pretty much as per my normal routine. The airhostesses were lovely, and even took my photo and gave me a puppet to keep!
Auntie Catherine was waiting for us at the airport. It was very early in the morning, but it was UK nighttime, and I was getting very grumpy because I hadn't slept for a while. I still managed to greet her with lots of smiles, but I did start to get a bit tired on the way to Nanna and Grandpa Perry's house. And that is where the suprises started ...
Grandpa was still in bed, we gave him a surprise, he exclaimed, and Nanna was then asking what the matter was from the shower. So we surprised her a well!! We spent the day at Nanna and Grandpa Perry's catching up on some sleep, and then in the afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Mahar's house. Grandma Mahar was in shock when she answered the door (speechless), and when Grandpa Mahar arrived home from work his eyes almost popped out of his head! Uncle Andy arrived from Sydney a little later on in the evening and he too was amazed!! Hoorah, the surprise was a success! I also met Auntie Serena and Uncle Anthony, and my cousin Patrick. We both had fun playing and giggling on the floor!
PS. Mummy also wants to wish Daddy a Happy 3 years for yesterday!

A Night Out ...
... without me! What were they thinking??
Well, Mummy and Daddy got their first relaxing night out last night since I was born, so I guess 4.5 months in it was time! Through an agency they arranged a lovely nanny named Shelley to look after me. She played with me for a little while, then fed and popped me to bed. I was very well behaved of course!
Mummy and Daddy went out to celebrate their anniversay, which is on Wednesday. 3 years gone already - phew! They were going to go bowling, but since Daddy wasn't feeling great, they just went out for dinner, and then a lovely stroll along one of the canals in Warrington - making the most of the long days and a balmy evening!
Yesterday we did a spot of shopping, and Daddy picked out some new clothes for me. I am going to be a spunky girl all dressed in .... GREEN!
Mummy meanwhile is still attempting to get me interested in tennis, and we have watched the women's and men's Wimbledon finals together. The mens was the best, Roddick and Federer fought hard. I missed my bath because both Mummy and Daddy were so enthralled in the final set!

And then the rains came ...
... and boy did it come down fast! We got very wet on our way to the car today after Baby Sensory class. The temperature dropped a bit with the rain, but in the afternoon the sun came out again, and we thought the humidity might return. It seems for the moment though that there is going to be a bit of a cool spell. Mummy made the most of the opportunity to cool the house down, and had all the windows open! The air conditioner was doing the trick in my room, and Mummy and Daddy have even moved it into their room a couple of times. Make sleeping much more pleasant!
Yesterday Mummy met up with her friend Ricky from Melbourne. We took a trip into Wales to meet her and her 10 month old son Xanthe. We had a lovely walked around a country park. After a while I got very sleepy and had a nap, but they kept on nattering! They worked out it was almost 3 years to the day that they last saw each other.

This week Mummy and I have also been enjoying watching Wimbledon. The finals are coming up this weekend, so I am sure the afternoons will involve some tennis! We watched a particularly good match between Hewitt and Roddick. Unfortunately our countryman lost, but we are now cheering on Roddick in the final!
On Wednesday I had another weigh-in. More for curiosity as Mummy and Daddy can see I am putting on the weight now! Daddy even reackons I might be developing a bit of a pot belly! Mummy and Daddy also say I have thunder thighs, but I really think that is a bit unkind ... it is just some padding for when I start to learn to walk and fall over all the time!! Hehehe!
Daddy has gone to bed early tonight as he is not feeling well. Mummy is hoping he is feeling better quickly, as they have organised a babysitter for tomorrow night so that they can have a night out on their own!
