Puzzling things out ...

I made a mess this morning ... but I was having a great time. I'm getting the hang of this shape sorting business ...

This morning I had some time with Mummy, while we let Daddy sleep in. We went to the farm shop for our weekly fruit and vegetables. Mummy even let me walk around today ... I followed her while nibbling on a mushroom (yum yum), however when I made a quick dash for the play house Mummy decided it was time to put me in the trolley! He he, I can be cheeky! We also went to the library, I found a couple more books to borrow. Because I had been a good girl, we went to the bakery for a treat in the form of an apple danish ... way better than the mushroom!

In the afternoon we went for a visit to Chester. The sun started to come out, which made a nice change from thee rain we'd been having recently. After looking around for a bit, we went to the main gardens where I got to have a run around (and run away from Daddy), and then we went down to the river for a cream tea treat ...

Tonight we are letting Mummy have the night off, and she is going out with some of her girl friends. We are even going to let her have a sleep in too! I'll try and give Daddy a sleep in too, not the 6am start I gave Mummy today!

Monday Antics

Well, it has been a full week off nursery now, and today was my final day with Mummy. After another big sleep in (this cold is still knocking me about) I was up in time to see the real estate lady come take photos that she can use to rent our house. I was trying me best to get in the photos (isn't that what a camera is for??) but Mummy kept pulling me out of the way!

After a quick breakfast, we then headed off to Jellybeans to meet up with my friend Thomas and his younger brother William. It is such a FUN place, so many things to do that I just can't keep still ... and I wear Mummy out in the process! Here I am climbing over things, I make it difficult for myself by carrying things where ever I go these days!

In the afternoon we had a few chores to do, post office and Mothercare. Mummy couldn't find what she wanted at Mothercare, but she did take me up to the toy section. It was ace, they left out loads of toys for me to play with ... I showed Mummy an In the Night Garden toy that I thought looked cool, but Mummy said no and so I had to put it back on the shelf (and I did it too!). In the end Mummy had to drag me away kicking and screaming (note from Mummy, almost literally too, thankfully the buttons in the lift kept her amused!).

Mummy was nice though, she did let me have a go on a ride while at Mothercare ...

Back at home, we had 2 sets of visitors to check out the house! That was quick! Mummy is hoping one of them will want to rent it (second set please!), and then she won't have to keep the house constantly clean! He he, I always do a good job of messing things up anyway ... Hurricane Lexi they sometimes call me ...

Out and About

Ah, Sunday already! The last couple of days have gone quickly!

On Friday Mummy took me to the doctor because my cough was getting worse, and well it turns out it wasn't chicken pox after all (probably just my eczema again) but I did have a chest infection. So on to the antibiotics again ... I seem to be picking up again. The good news with this is that it means my quarantine has been lifted by Mummy and I can go and play around other kids! Hoorah!! Friday afternoon was sooo much fun at David Lloyd, I was running about everywhere!!

Yesterday I spent some quality with Daddy, while Mummy got the garden in tip top condition for the rental photos on Monday. It was a rare break of no rain. Daddy took me to the park (the slide is the BEST) and for a treat at the bakery! Lucky me (and Daddy)! Saturday night we all went around to Brian and Alison's for dinner. Well, I was meant to be sleeping, but it was just way too exciting. They have a big labrador called Lance, he was quite an interesting character. Brian found some of his daughters old toys for me to play with, but after starters Mummy and Daddy said enough was enough and I had to go to bed! I still protested a little ...

Lucky for Mummy and Daddy, I continued of my good for of late and slept in until 9:20am. It gave them a little time to recover from their hangovers :)

In the afternoon we went to Delamere Forest for a walk. It was a lovely peaceful area, lots of tall trees. I alternated between walking and resting in the pram, it can be tiring this walking caper! After our walk we went to the Stretton Fox for dinner. Both Mummy and Daddy got the Sunday (lamb) roast which was tasty ... I stole lots of food and had a real good fill :)

Spending Time with Mummy

Because of the chickenpox, I've been off nursery all week. I've been very tired and sleeping lots, but not too much scratching or spots. Mummy has still been doing lots of fun things with me! Yesterday we made some play doh; I liked eating it and so we stopped playing with it because Mummy was concerned with the amount of salt in it!

Today we did some baking:

Oh Dear, What Can The Matter Be ...

Today Mummy discovered one spot on me, and then another, and then another ... we went off to get it checked out, and we've found out that I have chickenpox .... oh no!

But on the plus side, I get a whole lot of Mummy's company while we wait for all the spots to come out and heal! The down side is that we have painters around, so the lounge room is going to seem very small very quickly tomorrow ... just as well tomorrow is their last day!

In The Night Garden

What a surprise, this morning Mummy and Daddy were both up early (Mummy sacrificed her Sunday morning sleep in)! That is because last night they had arranged to take me to see a performance of In The Night Garden at Sefton Park in Liverpool. It was in a big dome tent, and we saw the Ninky Nonk show! It was ace, all my favourites were there, and I was entranced the whole way through!

After the show, Mummy and Daddy let me have a bit of a run around Sefton Park. Daddy did some aeroplanes with me, I was a little dizzy afterwards!

When we got home, it was time for a big nap after all the morning excitement! I was still buzzing, and didn't sleep so long. Mummy and Daddy decided to take me to the gym to burn off some of my energy! I needed to keep my fluids up with all the running around ... ahh!

Afterwards, it was time for a little running around at home. I am becoming a real lady of the house, and must go everywhere with my (or Mummy's) handbag!

Dinner Time

Daddy looked hungry, so I thought I would share with him some of my dinner ...

Yesterday Mummy had a parent-teacher night at nursery. They say I am lovely to look after, and they'll miss me when I go to my new room ... which I will be starting in next Tuesday! I'll get to catch up with some of my friends who moved up earlier. I'm especially looking forward to playing with Teya, although I hope Oliver will be moving up soon too (he's my boyfriend in the baby room!).

Happy Anniversary Mummy and Daddy!

Today is Mummy and Daddy’s 4th Anniversary. Jeez time flies, well so they say anyway. Daddy reackons it feels like a lot longer, and I’m not so sure if he means that is a good thing or a bad thing?? Well, at least he says it with a smile on his face!

To celebrate we took a trip to France over the weekend! Mummy found a good deal on some flights, and managed to convince Daddy that we should go! What fun we had! We went to a town called Bergerac. Mummy was also able to practice the French she had learnt at Warrington Collegiate last year and this year. I think she needs to learn a little more ...

Bergerac was a very pretty town. Mummy found us a great hotel in the centre of the old town which was close to everything. So we did lots of walking around the town. Mummy and Daddy made sure they wore me out good and proper, and let me play in the park and on the banks of the river. I also ran all about the place. Well, it did mean I slept very well each night, which they were thankful of!

Every morning we went to the local boulangerie (that's a bakery!) and we got fresh croissants and other delicious pastry delights for breakfast. None were as good as the first day though. I think if we'd been there for a 4th morning, we might not have had the same breakfast!

On Monday afternoon we went exploring a little into the area around Bergerac. We visited Chateau Monbazillac. Monbazillac grapes are particular to the region (the most well know type in the area, although there are 13 specialty types in the Bergerac region), and make a very nice wine which Mummy enjoyed sampling. Daddy preferred the French beer though! The chateau was fun, lots of big rooms for me to run around in, and I also had fun running around the gardens and amongst all the grapes!

On the final day we went to a nearby village. It was a lovely little village, but unfortunately not a whole lot to see ... we also arrived just as everything was closing for their afternoon nap time, but luckily there was one restaurant that was still open for orders! After lunch we found a park for me to play in, and then it was back to Bergerac, and back to the airport!

At the airport Mummy almost made a big mistake ... she had wine in her hand luggage ... oh no! Thankfully, and only just before the suitcase was about to disappear, she realised and was able to put it in the suitcase. Phew, she would've been very unhappy if she had to leave it behind!

About Me

My photo
Warrington, United Kingdom
I started growing around some auspicious date in May. There was some celebration involved, a bit of wine and a trip to the theatre. Mum was getting lots of presents ... I arrived in this world on February 18th 2009 at 12:40 pm, weighing 6 lb 13 oz. Mum and Dad are pretty chuffed with me!
